Christmas is a day that we celebrate the birth if Jesus The Christ. It is most likely not the day that Jesus was born on as the calenders are different from the Romain one we now have. The exact date is really unknown although the bible narrative gives many clues as to the approximate time, such as who was the king of Israel, that Pontius Pilate was in power at that time in Palestine (at His death) , The writings of contemporary historians, ect. There is MUCH evidence for Jesus, more so than most figures in history that we would never question if they existed. Dont be fooled by the gain sayers here.
Whats more important than that is why He was born.
He is much more than a really nice man who had good intentions and is worthy of following because of them.
More is coming soon on this
14 who gave himself for us to redeem us from all lawlessness and to purify for himself a people for his own possession who are zealous for good works. (ESV)
10 and to wait for his Son from heaven, whom he raised from the dead, Jesus who delivers us from the wrath to come. (ESV)
