ADF Sues NY School District Over Censorship of Pro-Life Viewpoint (06 Jan 2007) One of the largest school districts in upstate New York has joined a growing list of public schools now facing a federal lawsuit over their treatment of pro-life students. A middle school student has sued the Shenendehowa Central School District after allegedly being told to turn his pro-life T-shirt inside out and to stop distributing to his classmates flyers that discussed the dangers of abortion.
Shenendehowa Central is the third U.S. public school district in the last two weeks to be sued by the pro-family legal organization Alliance Defense Fund (ADF) for censoring pro-life students
Are Pastors to Blame for the Divorce Epidemic? (06 Jan 2007) (AgapePress) - We have a divorce epidemic in America today. And I am wondering how much pastors are to blame.
I am of the school that thinks we usually put way too little expectation on the Church and its pastors for societal woes. When it comes to the institution of marriage, the vast majority of ministers have dropped the proverbial ball and by so doing have led the nation to the brink of disaster.
Too few of us (pastors, and I am one of them) take seriously the words "holy matrimony." By failing to recognize the importance of this expression, we assume that anybody who wants to should be able to enter into it and with our blessing. After all, not to perform such ceremonies could cause congregational discord; so as people who make a living by the offerings of that congregation, we allow almost anything.
But is it possible for "holy matrimony" to exist when one or both potential spouses have no love relationship with the Lord? Do pastors query their young lovers about such matters? Or have we assumed that the pastoral office has no business barging into people's lives on these all-important issues?

A look at Sin (05 Jan 2007) . . . a spiritual death. (a subject for another time) The Bible speaks of three types of death.
1. Death as we know it; death of the flesh.
2. Spiritual death; caused by Adam and suffered by all mankind.
3. The second death, hell, eternal damnation, or eternal torment.
Can we be certain that what Adam did was sin?

- If you have prayed the above prayer, then who did you call on? (The Lord)
- and if you done that and meant what you said then He says in this verse that you are SAVED!
